A little clarity about privacy.
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and page-performance information. It does not load advertising, tracking pixels, external fonts or newsletter tags. This application runs its room-planning and photo-colour tools in your browser. It does not send those form details or chosen photographs to a separate application service.
Hosting and access
Normal page requests are handled by the hosting platform, by Cloudflare, which receives the requested URL, IP address and browser request information to deliver and protect the website. The current application has no account registration, cloud project database or cross-device synchronisation.
Website analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate page views and page performance. Its documentation explains the service and its data collection. In our current configuration, the analytics beacon is excluded for visitors from the European Union. Cloudflare continues to handle hosting and security requests. The room-planning tools process their inputs and chosen photographs in your browser.
Saved plans, layouts and stories
Browser local storage holds saved story identifiers, up to eight room plans, up to eight editable layouts, and your wishlist and budget settings. Room plans include your optional nickname, room type, dimensions, mood, budget, currency and preferences. Layouts include room dimensions and furniture names, positions and measurements.
Your room photographs
Palette Lab reads the pixels of a chosen photo locally. A resized JPEG copy and your selected colours are written to this browser’s IndexedDB only when you choose Save board. Up to eight boards can be saved. Choosing a photograph alone does not persist a photo board.
Your wishlist
The wishlist stores the names, categories, costs, optional retailer links and purchased status you enter. Clicking a retailer link opens that external website, which has its own privacy terms. We do not retrieve live prices or process purchases.
Remove, restore or transfer
Use My Home to remove saved records; Undo restores the last record removed there. You can remove saved stories with their heart button and room plans from Saved Ideas as well. Clearing this site’s browser data removes local storage and IndexedDB records. A different browser or device has its own records unless you manually import a backup.
Downloads and clipboard
A downloaded JSON backup contains your saved photo boards, plans, layouts, wishlist and story identifiers. Keep that file private. Moodboard PNGs, text briefs and SVG layouts remain wherever you save them. Copying a design brief only copies text; it does not send it to an AI provider. If you later paste text or upload a photo to another service, that service’s terms apply.
Links and website information
Room Studio links can contain room inputs in their query string. Avoid using a personal address or confidential information in a room nickname. Room & Routine is a home journal and room-planning website. This version does not load advertising scripts. Cloudflare’s hosting and security services have their own privacy information. Saved projects remain on your device until you remove them, clear this site’s browser data or transfer a backup.
