A room that flows.
A day that feels better.
Rehearse the way you live before moving a thing. Trace a real route, find the awkward gaps and compare a thoughtful furniture move.
The everyday salon
Let one piece make the difference.
Tries moves up to 1 metre and quarter-turns. Keeps pieces inside the room, avoids footprint overlaps and favours reachable stops before shorter routes.
Beautiful is also
how a room works.
Start with a no-buy experiment. Sometimes the most useful change is the gap beside a table, rather than another thing in the room.
How the route is calculated
A 10 cm grid traces a route around rectangular furniture footprints. Half your chosen route width is allowed on either side of its centre. The route approaches the edge of each selected piece; it never passes through furniture.
What a suggested move means
The tool compares a bounded set of nearby positions and 90° rotations for one selected piece. It prioritises reaching more stops, then reducing travel. It may find no improvement and does not search every possible arrangement.
What to measure in your real room
Include doors, door swings, windows, fixed fittings and furniture dimensions in your own checks. These are not inferred by the tool. Rectangular footprints and routes are concept experiments, not building, access or safety assessments.
What is saved and where
Save creates a separate Layout Lab arrangement in this browser. Your original saved layout is preserved. Entry positions, routine stops and route results are not included in the saved layout. My Home backups include the saved furniture arrangement.
